  1. This version of XLOCK was ported to DesqView/X using DJGPP V1.08 and
  2. the QuarterDeck provided QDDVX100 libraries.  It may be freely distributed
  3. under the terms of the original licenses.

  5. This version uses a password file generated by the NCSA TelPass utility,
  6. which is included in the .ZIP file.

  8. The program uses two environment variables to compensate for DOS .NE. UNIX:
  9.     USER        set to the desired name from the password file
  10.     ETC_PASSWORD    set to the full pathname of the password file
  11.  
  12. NOTES:
  13.     The Hue/Saturation/Brightness method of color change seems to result
  14. in RED only with the 16 color server.  The 256 color server looks quite nice.
  15. Since I'm running 256 color, I didn't bother to change the algorithms....

  17.     I will gladly receive bug reports and (preferably) fixes, but will
  18. not commit to any action on them.  I.e. I can't spend work time fixing this,
  19. but I'll try to get a 'round tuit'.
